Welcome to the weird of Michigan! It's a pageant
of the improbable; a road-trip to
the bizarre. Scratch the Wolverine State's surface with one curving
talon and discover....Imps and goblins from the dark underbelly
of Michigan's past, roadside signs and icons like the giant
fiberglass ski guy, people and characters who live la vida
loca, monsters and more. If it's eccentric, macabre, quirky, offbeat
or outré and it's Michigan, look for it here.

Tecumseh, MI..Photo and words by Jeff Westover: .I spent
a couple of hours in the Hamilton House (1840) tonight...plan
on returning tomorrow night for more photography (the owner
left me the key) The house is rumored to be haunted by the
ghost of Tecumseh's earliest surgeon, Increase S. Hamilton,
and a mysterious ghost dog in the basement. It is also rumored
to be a station on the Underground Railroad. The most common
rumor is that the two houses, which were built by twin brothers
Elija and Elisha Anderson, are attached by an underground
tunnel. Tunnels have been found in the Anderson Beardsley
Home (1832) but no evidence for tunnels have yet to be unearthed
in the Hamilton House (1840)
